The Strongest Woman I Know

My Moms Is the Strongest Woman I Know
I previously wrote a post about how my granny is my homemaking role model. Another role model of mine is my Mom. She is the strongest woman I know. My childhood wasn't the easiest and I always had her to lean on. She has (and continues) to put up with so much and somehow seems to put a smile on her face every.single.day.

My Mom
  • My mom has always worked a full time job and still made time for family, friends and co-workers.
  • She was always there for my school functions.
  • My children played baseball, football and volleyball. She attended several practices, games and school functions.
  • She always helps others whether they need something moved or delivering something they may need.
  • She has a ton of friends. Seriously. Everywhere we go... she knows somebody. (I always pick on her about this.)
  • She isn't afraid to try something new.
  • She isn't afraid to travel by herself. (I couldn't imagine traveling alone.)
  • She isn't afraid to fly. (I'm terrified at the thought.)
  • When we needed help with school clothes or anything else that my children needed... she has always helped.
  • When we needed groceries. She provided them for us. My mom would even open up her pantry and let us take what we needed. Just like my granny.
  • If I'm ever upset and need to talk to her... she's there for me.
  • She has helped me with several business ventures and listens to me go on... and on... and on about them.
  • When we were unable to go to the store, she would pick up items for us.
I look up to her so much because of her strength and how brave she is.

She has always told me... everyday... that she loves me and has been there for my family more times than I can count.

My Mommy - Happy Mother's Day!

Quick Story

When I was younger my mom and I were driving down a gravel road jamming out to the Pointer Sisters. We were headed to a warehouse or large building (all I remember was that it was a huge building) that was full of discounted name brand shoes to purchase. As we were driving down the road... we hit a huge pothole and the car flew up in the air. I remember coming up out of the seat. We landed back on the ground... looked at each other and started laughing. We've been through some crazy things together.

She is truly a blessing! I am so lucky to have her as my mom! Happy early Mother's Day!
