Spring, Stress and Stitching

I love the Spring weather! Especially here in Texas when our weather consists of a bit of cold mixed in with hot, hotter and I feel like I'm going to pass out just walking up the road hot. The only thing is the terrible Spring weather we have. I'm thankful we've only had a bit of flooding on certain roads in our area... *knock on wood*, but we've had a couple of scary storms head or way that have caused terrible damage to the south of us due to tornados and hail.

One of the streets in our city that was flooded.

Along with the scary Spring storms, I'm totally stressing over what's coming up within the next month or so. This Saturday my daughter has prom then comes all her Senior stuff for school. She has two graduations (one for her Associates and the other for high school), a Senior signing day, and a Senior walk (where they walk in their caps and gowns at other schools to celebrate their success). Along with this comes family (which has it's own issues to resolve), sending out invitations, making sure she has everything needed for graduation, the final parent/teacher conference, making sure her lunch bill is paid, all books are turned in, etc. It's a busy time of year. I can't believe both of my children will be high school graduates! It's definitely bitter sweet.

So, before all this happens, I'm taking much needed time to work on my current Cross Stitch project. After many, many years of using a hoop, my husband bought a Q-snap for me and I'm absolutely loving it! If you are a sticher and use a hoop, I highly recommend giving it a try! I've read several reviews and they suggest only getting the brand Q-snap and not the ones that are sold by different brands because they do not work as well. The first size I've used is an 8x8 purchased on Amazon and I'm wanting to get a bigger size or two.

I hope that you have an amazing upcoming weekend! God Bless!
